The Honorable Danielle Hunter
Prince George's County, Maryland, District 6
Danielle Hunter was appointed to represent District 6 on the Prince George’s County Council on January 9, 2026. She brings to the Council a strong record of public service, community leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing opportunities for residents across the county.
Council Member Hunter is the co-founder of TakeFlight Consulting, an organization dedicated to guiding individuals into aviation and flight training programs. Through this work, she serves as a mentor and leadership coach to young, aspiring aviators, with a particular focus on supporting individuals from underrepresented communities. Her efforts emphasize career readiness, access, and long-term professional development.
Beyond her professional career, Council Member Hunter is deeply committed to community advocacy through her S.H.E. initiative—Safer Communities, Healthier Families, and Educational Advancement for Youth. She continues to pioneer programs and partnerships that promote public safety, family well-being, and educational opportunity.
Over the past six years, Council Member Hunter’s give-back initiatives have provided food and winter clothing to more than 800 families experiencing food and clothing insecurity. These community-focused efforts remain central to her work and will continue through her ongoing service on the Council.
Council Member Hunter is dedicated to collaborative leadership, service-driven policymaking, and ensuring that District 6 residents are represented with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
